Been homesick for too long
Need to get back to the place I’m from
Where there’s saloons and cattle rustlers
Quick draw six-shooters, and tired old peacemakers
It’s a place not many people know
And even less of them want to go
But it’s my beloved desert town
Had to leave to want to come back ’round
Give me the sweet smelling tarbush after the rain
Peel me some Agave and I’ll be content to stay
Take me where the sun sets over the Western mesa
Y donde hay la mejor cerveza
Horse riding on the levees
I’ll take the four-stroke out for a midnight ride
Rock climbing at the sacred ground
Can see for miles with not a soul around
Give me the sweet smelling tarbush after the rain
Peel me some Agave and I’ll be content to stay
Take me where the sun sets over the Western mesa
Y donde hay la mejor cerveza
She’s overlooked by most men
That’s why I love her so
Let pass their untrained eyes
She’ll be the place of my birth until I die
Give me the sweet smelling tarbush after the rain
Peel me some Agave and I’ll be content to stay
Take me where the sun sets over the Western mesa
Y donde hay la mejor cerveza
